Business Fundamentals Programme
Business Fundamentals Programme (Business School graduate in eight days") is a general course which will give you an overall view of finance, marketing, strategy and management with regard to corporate finance.
This course provides a broad knowledge of the soft and hard elements of finance, marketing, strategy and management. We set great store by looking at all this in connection with the operations and a greater insight into them. Once you've completed this course, you should have a better understanding of financial issues in their correct context.
For anyone
with professional experience but no training in business practices. Our participants often have very varied backgrounds and jobs, but they all have one thing in common - they are looking for a more in-depth overall view of corporate finance. OUr participants include project managers, engineers, personnel managers, technicians, lawyers, marketing managers, CEOs, unit managers and purchasing managers.
Structure
While this course is in progress, participants will meet up for one full day a week for eight weeks, in addition to attending a final dinner together. We will be looking at a different topic every time, going into greater depth by means of lectures, discussions and workshops.
This course involves major focus on participants, and the experiences of the various participants will often form the basis of rewarding discussions and insights inte participants' own operations. To gain an even greater insight into how various kinds of company work with financial tools, we traditionally hold as many of the meetings as possible at participants' own companies. We alternate between lectures and practical exercises on the topic for the day with close links with the company we are at.
Individual project work will take place throughout this course in which participants will reflect on what they've learned in connection with their companies or areas of interest. At the same time, this will provide a good basis for further discussion within the organisation once the course is complete.
