Management and Corporate Governance Program
Management and Corporate Governance Program is a broad, in-depth generalist course for Board members. This course looks at the roles of Board members and chairmen, as well as Board work from financial, strategic and legal perspectives.
For anyone
who is a Board member or CEO at a company where the aim is to give the Board an active role to play in development of the company. The course is aimed at experienced Board members who are looking for a challenge and want to develop their knowledge of Board work; but also at people who are about to embark upon active Board work.
Structure
This course is based on the three roles of the Board:
1. the Board's control and legal liabilities
2. the significance of the Board and responsibility for strategic and business development.
3. the role of the Board in passing on information, contacts and expertise to the company.
Several cases involvin complex, specific Board problems will be discussed throughout the course. Exchanges of experiences between participants is a very important part of the learning process.
This course will take place on eight sessions over eight months, and guests who are experienced Board members, CEO's, owner representatives and researchers will be taking part.
The course will end with participants being asked to produce an individual development plan for their activities as a Board member. This will be discussed with a team of experienced Board specialists in order to provide individual participants with support.
