“Leading IMPACT seemed forward-thinking and dynamic” 

Starting on October 9, Emma Järund, business area manager at public housing company Helsingborgshem, will attend EFL’s Leading IMPACT – Executive Management & Leadership Program. She hopes to have “a fun, challenging journey where theory and the group’s different experiences and reflections have clear ties to real life.” 

Leading IMPACT – Executive Management & Leadership Program  is based on a successful model that has been used and refined for more than 20 years at EFL’s Executive MBA program in partnership with the Lund University School of Economics and Management. Emma Järund, who has a Master of Science in engineering degree in risk management and a career as a fire safety engineer, was first looking at the Executive MBA before she decided to go for Leading IMPACT. 

“I’ve been interested in attending an executive MBA program for several years now. I’ve always been on the lookout for new insights and knowledge through courses, seminars and various networks but hadn’t found the time to take such an extensive program before. Given that we’re now developing a new business plan for Helsingborgshem, the time was right to combine my own development with substantial value for the company. I also got a good recommendation for EFL from one of my colleagues who completed a previous version of the program, which weighed in heavily on my decision. I read the program descriptions for several other management programs, too, but opted for Leading IMPACT because it seemed the most forward-thinking and dynamic one.” 

Since 2016, Emma has been working as the business area manager for construction and property development at Helsingborgshem and is part of the company’s management team. Prior to that, she was a construction manager and a consulting project manager. She has a family, with a husband and three children. Now she is looking forward to a new kind of challenge. 

“Professional development is my passion. I’m curious and find inspiration everywhere. I want the program to help hone my ability to harness all the ideas and opportunities I can find to implement change through a positive developmental journey together with colleagues and employees.”
